The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has issued a strong statement in response to the criticisms from the Group of Seven (G7) regarding its electoral and political process, labeling their observations as “absurd” and a manifestation of imperialist interference.

In a context where G7 powers proclaim themselves as arbiters of global democracy, the Venezuelan government denounces their hypocrisy, while recalling the political and economic failures these countries face.

The statement emphasizes that the G7, instead of offering lessons on democracy, should reflect on its own history of interventions and support for regimes that have perpetrated human rights violations.

“It is particularly ironic that these same countries, which made a loud mockery in 2019 by recognizing an impostor as ‘interim president,’ now pretend to give lessons on the will of electoral processes,” reads the official text.

Venezuela also warns of the possibility of a new attempt to delegitimize its institutions, suggesting that any opposition figure, such as a “Guaidó 2.0,” will face resistance from the Venezuelan people, who have demonstrated their commitment to sovereignty and national dignity.

The Venezuelan government emphasizes that the arrogant and interventionist attitude of the G7 will not go unanswered and announces a comprehensive review of its relations with each of the countries that make up this group. “Respect for national sovereignty is non-negotiable,” declares the statement.

The text also declares that recent history has shown that the Bolivarian people will not accept further external tutelage. “Venezuela is free, and it will remain so, no matter how much it pains those who have not overcome their imperial complexes,” concludes the official message.

This pronouncement comes at a critical moment for international relations, where self-determination and national sovereignty have become central themes in global political debate.

The response from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reaffirms its firm stance against external pressures and its commitment to a political model based on participation and popular will.
